Why Christmas?

It’s about Mary saying Yes to the call on her life, choosing the kingdom over her own ‘normal’ life.
It’s about John the Baptist preparing the way and how we prepare the way for the second coming.
It’s about Him being born to the kings and the shepherds, those loved and those forgotten by society.
It’s about the majesty of God shown in the angels, the example of what worship He deserves and what heaven could be like.
It’s about the star being used as a sign and how He converses and relates to us in unexpected ways.
It’s about the gifts given to a baby and the gifts given to us by a God to use to glorify God Him in return.
It’s about Herord. That he came and his own did not accept him. And how 2000 years later it’s still the same.
It’s about Joseph and trusting in the kingdom plan despite the expectations of society and opinions of others.
It’s for all the inn keepers who said no.
It’s that he came as a baby. One of us. That he would live as one of us. That he would die as one of us.
It’s that He came as God. He lived as God. And that he died as God.
So really it’s all about Jesus because without Him this would all be pointless. All of it.
